Mississippi Prehospital Professions Association
About Us
In October of 2003, a group of progressive prehospital professionals saw a need for a new organization to drive EMS on educational, political, and regulatory issues. For too long Mississippi EMS providers have not had a voice in their own future. As EMS providers, we saw our profession deteriorating under pressure from outside influences. There were no organizations actively combating this downward spiral. As we searched for a solution, the dream of the Mississippi Prehospital Professions Association was born. This organization is dedicated to provide a voice for all prehospital professionals throughout Mississippi. Our ideals are driven by a desire to promote excellence within the EMS profession. The MPPA will not be steered by special interest groups; rather we will be the organization driving the future of EMS in Mississippi. Our desire is to see EMS become regulated by EMS providers; the development of a progressive peer review committee to ensure the highest quality patient care is provided, and that opportunities for prehospital professionals are expanded beyond current limitations. The MPPA will provide a voice for all prehospital providers. By joining together with other motivated and progressive professionals we can change the face of EMS and affect our own future. Join today and become part of the solution.
